Rouge River Winds and music director Pratik Gandhi present a concert full of music related to Italy. The program includes Frank Ticheli’s Vesuvius, Julie Giroux’s delightful Italian Rhapsody, Rachmaninoff’s Italian Polka, and Vittorio Giannini’s Symphony No. 3. Cellist Samantha Yang joins us for Johan de Meij’s arrangement of the famous concluding scene from Puccini’s Suor Angelica, and our 2019 solo competition winner Paolo Rosselli performs “The Call and Awakening” from James Beckel’s The Glass Bead Game.
